The Boat International Superyacht Regatta is heating up with more than 30 boats having already registered their interest by January this year.

We have a wide cross section of yachts, including those from Southern Winds Shipyard, Dubois Yachts, Wally, Vitters, Swan and Perini Navi and we expect many more to join us for what will be the largest collection of sailing superyachts on the water in 2008.

Notables such as Alfa Romeo, Salperton, Hamilton II and Highland Fling reflect the variety of yachts destined to take part in this historic event.

The Notice of Race, published by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), will be distributed this week to all interested boats and this will include the official entry form. If you have not received the Notice or Race and would like a copy, please visit our website and download it from here or from the YCCS website at www.yccs.it.

Race management for the regatta will be to ISAF world championship standard, and the YCCS team will be responsible for all technical aspects of the event, including race management, the provision of an international jury and the operation of the race headquarters in its clubhouse at Porto Cervo.

Berthing in the Porto Cervo purpose-built marina will ensure that superyachts have access to all the necessary services and enjoy the facilities of the one of the world's most prestigious yacht clubs. Owners and their guests will be able to use the club's amenities for the duration of the regatta. A full social program has been arranged so that there will be as much fun on shore as there will be on the water.

Boat International Media and YCCS have secured a special rate with some of the local 5 star hotels. Hotel Romazzino and the Cala Di Volpe are available at a 50% discounted rate at €660 per night including breakfast + 10% VAT. Hotel Cervo is also available at a discount at €560 including breakfast plus 10% VAT. Please quote that you are involved in the Boat International Superyacht Regatta to secure these rates.
