Forward to a Colleague

Registration for Working 2 Walk 2008
is now open. You'll find a number of changes from previous years. We've built more flexibility into the schedule and given you an opportunity to choose the speakers you prefer to hear in a small-group setting. We've added a full day of meals and activities on Day 2 with some exciting presentations. While this year's Registration Form is a bit longer, it's because we have even more to offer!

Once again we will be able to award a limited number of Registration Fee Grants. Applications are available on the W2W Registration page and must be submitted by March 15.

We have an outstanding lineup
of speakers and activities this year. On Day 1 an elite group of leading researchers will present the latest updates on their work and answer questions from the audience. Continental Breakfast and a Seated Lunch are included, as well as an evening networking reception hosted by the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.

Day 2 brings an interactive demonstration on the latest neurotechnology devices that can help restore function, as well as an adaptive yoga workshop led by Jo Zukovich. Again breakfast and lunch are included, and we'll wrap up the day with our "Kickoff to Capitol Hill' banquet Monday evening. We promise dinner and entertainment to get everyone energized for their legislative visits.

There are many more exciting events in the schedule that are too numerous to mention here. Visit our Working 2 Walk Schedule Page for all the details.

The Kellogg Conference Hotel
at Gallaudet University is our host for both conference venue and lodging this year. Located just minutes from Union Station, the campus is an oasis of greenspace in the midst of our nation's capital. At last report our room block was selling quickly, so if you need lodging make reservations as soon as possible. More information on booking at KCH and other hotel options is available here.

For those who cannot attend
Working 2 Walk but would like to support the event, you can participate by

1. Submitting your story to Bridges 2 Hope. B2H continues to grow, and we will print an updated version for this year's legislative visits. It takes only a few minutes of your time to share your story, so if you haven't yet done so, do it here.

2. Make a financial contribution. Working 2 Walk is organized entirely by volunteers and supported by generous corporate sponsors, allowing us to keep the registration fee affordable. Still, the costs for venue rental, catering and equipment in Washington are enormous, and individual contributions help us to reach the break-even point. If you have the means to donate, visit our Contributions page.
