Educational Programming
Each AHRMM Regional Seminar features the same two educational presentations outlined below. Full-day and half-day registrations are available so you can create a customized program that fits your schedule and interests.

Lean Six Sigma for the Healthcare Supply Chain
Presenter: Ron Crabtree, CIRM, CPIM, CSCP, MLSSBB, President, MetaOps, Inc.
There is a growing concern in the healthcare industry that there is an unacceptable level of mistakes and deficiencies in all parts of operations. Organized approaches to creating continuous improvements such as Lean Six Sigma (LSS) are required to achieve large-scale, long-lasting, breakthrough improvements. This practical and pragmatic workshop will help you develop basic skills using the key tools in LSS to positively impact your healthcare supply chain operations.

RFID: Managing the Moveable Equipment Management Process
Presenter: Al Cook, CMRP, FAHRMM, Director of Healthcare Product Development, IBSS
A primer for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, this workshop will focus on what RFID is, how it works, the applications in which it is used, and where it may be headed in the future. Providing the fundamentals of process management and improvements, the session will be geared towards the process of managing highly moveable assets. Data elements and control charting will be illustrated for a functional look at process improvements and the benefits RFID can have in process management.

Continuing Education
Attendees will receive continuing education credits for participation as follows:

  • Full-day, Regional Seminar: 6.5 Contact Hours or 0.65 CEUs
  • Half-day, Lean Six Sigma Session: 3.75 Contact Hours or .375 CEUs
  • Half-day, RFID Session: 2.75 Contact Hours or 0.275 CEUs

All registrations include a networking lunch. Continental breakfast will be served to attendees of the Half-day, Lean Six Sigma Session and Full-day, Regional Seminar only. Registration rates are as follows:

  • Full-day, Regional Seminar: $299 AHRMM members. $399 Non-members
  • Half-day, Lean Six Sigma Session: $199 AHRMM members. $299 Non-members
  • Half-day, RFID Session: $179 AHRMM members. $279 Non-members.
