BigFix hires Ken Klein as newest Director on the Board.
BigFix, the only converged IT security and operations platform that enables real-time visibility and control of globally distributed desktop, mobile and server computers recently added Ken Klein to the corporate Board of Directors. Klein currently serves as Chairman & CEO of Wind River, and prior to that was COO and Board member of Mercury Interactive for 12 years. Klein and his team built Mercury from a pre-revenue startup to a peak market cap of $15 billion.
Plastic Logic hires former Chief Financial Officer from Reliant Technologies as its new CFO. Former Adobe and Apple executive, joins Plastic Logic as Vice President of Marketing.
Plastic Logic is challenging the Amazon Kindle and the Sony Reader with a plastic panel that completely changes the landscape for mobile digital content. The company, a global startup with headquarter offices in Mountain View, CA. as well as Cambridge England, with manufacturing in Germany, is delivering disruptive technology that will bring to market consumer devices capable of holding entire personal libraries within a 1/8 inch thick plastic display. For the first time, the mobile professional, student, and avid reader can easily take their important texts with them wherever they go. These devices will be lightweight, easy to read, and virtually indestructible.
Tom Scannell, CFO of Plastic Logic has worked at Hewlett-Packard, Micro-Linear, Ilex System, Raychem, Spectra-Physics Lasers, Sirenza Microdevices and most recently Reliant Technologies. He has led two IPOs on NASDAQ, venture capital equity and debt rounds, multiple M&A transactions and has prepared companies for public and secondary offerings.
Joe Eschbach brings over 20 years of experience in high-tech marketing from Apple, Radius, Mitsubishi, Adobe, Microsoft, and Astoria Software. At Adobe he was Vice President of the ePaper Division, driving significant growth in revenue for Adobe Acrobat while also building relationships with Amazon, Barnes Noble, and publishers to help establish Adobe’s eBook business. At Microsoft he was Vice President, Information Worker Marketing responsible for all marketing for the $8 billion Information Worker application business. He was also Vice President of Marketing and CMO for Astoria Software, helping raise funds, increasing the sales pipeline, and re-launching the company as a player in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) enterprise content management space.
Yieldex Optimization Software hires head of Product Marketing
Yieldex, the latest entrepreneurial effort of Tom Shields, founder of Netgravity, recently added Alex Tsai to lead the company’s product strategy. Yieldex is tackling the needs of online publishers to optimize their potential revenues generated from brand advertisers vying for limited high CPM space on their sites. Tsai, who left iMeems to join Yieldex also held significant responsibilities with Doubleclick.
