December 2005

Happy Holidays! I'm very pleased to be addressing you as the new President and CEO of Performance Technologies.

In the past year, the industry has definitely seen an increase in activity and development on many fronts. This is not surprising as we continue to see growth in the economy fueled by an ever increasing consumer demand for wireless and broadband communications products. For Performance Technologies, this activity means steady growth in our standards-based platforms as an increasingly relied upon form factor for the development of telecommunications, defense and homeland security, and commercial communications equipment.

Our Advanced Managed Platform(TM) offering was designed to speed integration, provide flexibility and is available in the PICMG(R) 2.16 and AdvancedTCA(R) form factors, and soon AMC. Additionally, open source software standards continue to make a mark in the development world. For example, Performance Technologies chose Linux as the basis for the NexusWare(TM) family of development tools and value-added software packages.

As for our Signaling Systems Products, telecom carriers and service providers continue to seek ways to grow their networks while lowering costs. Our unique SEGway(TM) solutions continues to assist our customers in addressing precisely those needs.

I hope the information you receive in our Packets & Signals eLetter continues to provide value to you. We invite you to submit suggestions/ideas on what you'd like to see more of in 2006.

Thank all of you for your continued support of our company and products - it has greatly contributed to our successes, both past and present.

On behalf of Performance Technologies, we wish you and your families a happy and restful holiday season.

- Michael Skarzynski, President and CEO
