Forward to a Colleague
April 7, 2006
Dear Friends,

Only 3 weeks to go until the groundbreaking Working 2 Walk Symposium & Rally in Washington DC. As hard as we have tried to spread the word, we know that there are many people who would want to attend this event but may not have heard about it. Please take a minute to forward this message to anyone you know who might be interested in this opportunity.

The W2W organizers are working hard to take care of the details that will ensure a successful event. Several deadlines are looming (see details below). If you haven't ordered a souvenir shirt, do it now, as orders will be placed on April 10. If you haven't registered, or have registered and not paid, please do so as soon as possible. Don't forget your to make appointments with your legislators!

Spring is in the air, giving us a burst of new hope and energy. We hope you are as excited as we are about going to Washington!

Sincerely,
Your Friends at Unite 2 Fight Paralysis

All Symposium registration fees are due by April 21. Registrations after this date will be limited to space available basis and subject to late charge of $25 for total fee of $125. Full Symposium schedule available here!

Show your support for Working 2 Walk 2006! Proudly wear the striking "W2W" logo, silkscreened on all-cotton white shirts and available in several styles. Shirts cost $10 plus shipping costs if necessary.

We will order additional shirts to sell at the event, but in order to get the shirt(s) you want, please pre-order.

Lobbying our legislators in person is the most effective way to make a difference in DC! When we meet with them, we put a face on the issues of paralysis. Working together, we can ensure passage of the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Act this year!

Have you begun making appointments to meet with your legislators in DC? Check here to see if somebody has volunteered to make appointments for your area! Contact Betheny if you are willing to perform this vital task. Please keep us informed of your progress!

It's not too late to make your tax-deductible donation to this important event!

Come to Baltimore on the W2W free afternoon, May 1. Meet leaders in the fields of Spinal Cord Injury and Stem Cells; John W. McDonald, III, M.D., PhD (lead neurologist to Christopher Reeve) and John Gearhardt, PhD. Just a 30 minute train ride from DC, the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury is devoted to restoration of function after sci and other paralysis, offering hope even to chronic injuries. This is an excellent chance to tour the lab and meet the doctors as they present their inaugural workshop "Advanced Restorative Therapies: From Bench to Lifelong Therapy". RSVP requested, special invitation found here!
