Delegating for CEOs and Senior Executives
In a recent Credit Union Management magazine article, Darden Executive Education's Senior Director Lou Centini was featured in an article titled "Delegating for CEOs and Senior Executives." In the article, Centini stresses the importance of delegation among a team, mastering strategy processes, and devoting time to improving people processes. Not only is it important to hire the right staff and know their capabilities, but empowering them to handle challenging assignments is perhaps the best way to develop them into leaders. Thoughts on Leadership and its Evolution
Executive Education professors Jack and Carol Weber recently discussed their thoughts on leadership with Virginia Business Magazine. Jack and Carol teach executive leadership and strategic change at Darden and deliver two of the most successful programs in this topic area. Over the past 22 years nearly 5,000 executives have participated in custom courses led by Jack and Carol, and the open-enrollment programs Creating the Future: The Challenge of Transformational Leadership and Leadership for Extraordinary Performance. Darden Appoints New Executive Director
Theodore "Ted" Forbes (Darden '93) has been appointed as Executive Director of the Darden School Foundation. Ted brings with him both enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of Darden, having previously taught in both the MBA and Executive Education programs for nine years. Ted will be joining us from Capital One where he served as the Chief Learning Officer.
