Full spectrum infrared measurement for paint and organic coatings with Thermo Scientific RM 320 FSIR gauge

The Thermo Scientific RM 320 FSIR is a highly sophisticated coating weight thickness gauge for thin and ultra-thin coatings on metal strip using NIR full spectrum analysis. The gauge is a true online scanning spectrometer that simultaneously captures the entire Near-IR spectral signature.

XRF and Full XRD Analysis with the new Thermo Scientific ARL 9900 Series WorkStationTM

Over the past ten years, there has been a growing demand in the metals and minerals industry for phase identification, in addition to the usual elemental analysis. The novel Thermo Scientific ARL 9900 X-ray WorkStation™ fulfils this need, providing a comprehensive analytical ability for a complete chemical and full phase analysis from raw materials to the final product. >>more details

Thermo Scientific NITON® Analyzers Help Solve Material Traceability Issues

DCI, Inc., a manufacturer of stainless steel and nickel alloy vessels and equipment for the pharmaceutical industry, identified a potential problem with the material it received from its suppliers: questionable traceability. To rectify the situation, the company implemented a Positive Material Identification program and chose Thermo Scientific NITON® x-ray fluorescence (XRF) handheld alloy analyzers to validate its raw materials. >>Read More

Optimum profile control with Thermo Scientific RM 312 multi-function instantaneous profile gauge

Since its inception in 1999, we've sold more than 10 Thermo Scientific RM 312 profile gauges in North America. Our RM 312 system scans through cross sections of material in production, giving instantaneous high accuracy measurements. What make this gauge unique is the geometry and high speed detectors of the RM 312 to provide non-contact dimensional measurement for 100% of the steel produced. This enables our customers to minimize scrap, maximize yield and improve quality.

Complete Solution for the Trace Element Analysis of Nickel Super Alloys using Thermo Scientific ELEMENT GD

We offer a complete solution for the trace element analysis of Nickel super alloys using the Thermo Scientific Element GD high resolution glow discharge mass spectrometer.

Double your productivity with a new automation system: Thermo Scientific ARL SMS-3000

Designed to run both X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and Optical Emission (OES) spectrometers, the new Thermo Scientific ARL SMS-3000 is a high-end, affordable alternative to the Thermo Scientific ARL SMS-2000. >>More Details

The Business Benefits of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in the Metals Laboratory

Streamlining laboratory processes in the metals industry is important to maximize efficiency in the manufacturing environment. Organizations are looking for new ways to improve productivity, reduce costs and time, and meet customer expectations without compromising data accuracy. >>Full Article
